Overall good condition. The marble base presents with a few very minute chips and a few previously restored chips along the edges and the corners, consistent with age and use. The metal elements presents with a few light scratches. The brass shade presents with some light oxidation overall, most likely intended by the artist and with some light scratches, light wear along the edges and a few minute chips of gilding scattered. The lower corners of the shade are slightly bended, consistent with age and use. The inside of the shade is painted in white with a few scuffs and some chips of paint mostly concentrated to the corners and the upper edges. The metal structure holding the shade with a few chips of paint and some rust along the upper corners. The welding on one upper corner is broken but it does not jeopardize the stability of the shade. Sotheby's does not guarantee electrical components and suggests having all wiring inspected by a licensed electrician.
