Condition

This work is in very good condition overall. The canvas is unlined. The impasto peaks appear stable and well intact. Under close inspection, there is evidence of scattered pigment separation, due to the artist’s choice of medium, and a few flattened impasto peaks. There is evidence of some light wear and handling to the corners and turning edges. There is also some fine, stable tension cracking to the turning edges noted with a few pinpoint pigment losses to the perimeter. Only visible under very close inspection and raking light, there are a few scattered, very minor surface accretions and a few, isolated minor pinpoint losses to the pigment. Under Ultraviolet light inspection, there is no evidence of restoration. Unframed.
