Condition

This work is in very good condition overall. The are textural shifts throughout, which are inherent to the artist's working method. There is a three inch linear accretion to the lower left corner. There is rubbing with associated pigment loss to the extreme edges, visible upon close inspection. Under Ultraviolet light inspection there is no evidence of restoration. Unframed.

American artist Amy Sillman once described her painting process as a physical continuation of her inner dialogue. As such, Sillman’s paintings are thoughtfully gestural, witty, and often times humorous. Sillman’s strong sense for composition, color, and line continuously produce work with a bold personality and sense of space.
