Condition

This work is in good condition overall. The linen is loose on the stretcher bars. There is wear with associated pigment loss to the extreme edges. There is cracking and pigment separation throughout, with scattered areas of pigment loss. Please note that this work has not been inspected out of its frame. Under Ultraviolet light inspection there is no evidence of restoration. Framed.

John Little studied under Georg Grosz and Hans Hoffman at the Art Students League in New York. From there, Little further integrated himself into the New York art scene, working alongside Abstract Expressionists such as Jackson Pollock. His work has been exhibited in many galleries and museums, including Guild Hall, East Hampton, McCormick Gallery, Chicago, and Spanierman Modern, New York.
