"Dream Street is a CD painting utilizing an image of Janet Jackson's Dream Street album cover from 1984. The image of a gloved arm is squeezing a pair of circular yellow cushions with hearts. It sits atop a circle and stripe pattern taken from a Joss paper circular fan design. Joss paper is a Chinese paper craft tradition made as offerings to burn at Asian funerals. They are typically replicas of familiar items like combs or miniature houses or tooth brushes that are meant to be used in the afterlife. Dream Street depicts a glove grasping on to a love from waking life in hopes of catching it on the other side." Alex da Corte
