拍品資料及來源

"I like to give attention to the lonely paintbrush or make a tribute to something that is humble, or something that does not require explanation. There are things that I am constantly looking at that I feel should be elevated to greater status. That’s why taking things out of context is a useful tool to an artist. It’s just the concept of taking something that’s not subject matter, and making it subject matter."
Ed Ruscha

This work will be included in Edward Ruscha: Catalogue Raisonné of the Works on Paper, Volume 2: 1977-1997, edited by Lisa Turvey (forthcoming in 2018 from Gagosian Gallery/Yale University Press).
