Condition

This work is in fair condition overall. There is evidence of handling and wear to the edges and the canvas is loose on its stretcher. Along the top edge the stretcher bar is visible. There is significant craquelure throughout the work. Along the lower edge at the center of the canvas and at the center of the left edge there are scattered spot losses. There are minor spot accretions visible throughout the work. In the upper left edge there is a drip accretion. There is flaking along the center bottom of the work, most significantly directly above the signature. The surface has been lightly varnished. Under Ultraviolet inspection, scattered areas fluoresce darkly and appear to have benefited from light retouching and consolidation. Framed under Plexiglas.
