Condition

This work is in good condition overall. The canvas is unlined and slightly loosely stretched. The colors are vibrant. The work is very lightly soiled overall. Isolated areas of fine hairline craquelure are present in the following locations: a four-inch horizontal area, a one-inch circular area, and three one-inch horizontal lines in the upper right quadrant; a three-inch vertical and a few very faint horizontal scattered lines in the lower right quadrant; two one-inch oval areas and a few scattered one-inch lines in the upper center quadrant; eight two-inch lines in the upper left quadrant. However, all of these areas are stable, and all of these are present in the beige background and do not interfere with the main compositional elements. Under ultraviolet light examination, an intermittent fine band of inpainting becomes apparent along the extreme edges of the canvas. An additional one-inch vertical isolated spot of inpainting is present in the lower right corner above the date. A small isolated area of spots of media loss is present at the extreme lower left corner.
