Condition
This work is in good condition overall. The canvas has been restretched over a new stretcher. There is evidence of wear and handling along the edges with some buckling at the corners. The sheet has discolored with age, and exhibits some staining along the bottom, right and top edges, most notably in the center bottom. The paper on the turning edge exhibits several tears, breaks and losses. Under very close inspection, a repaired tear is visible at the second circular element at the lower left and in the lower right quadrant, with a pinpoint to the sheet just above it and a pinpoint spot accretion is visible in the upper left quadrant. Under Ultraviolet light inspection, there is evidence of restoration in some of the tips of the areas of staining. Framed under Plexiglas.

"In my best moments I think 'life has passed me by' and I am content. Walking seems to cover time and space but in reality we are always just where we started. I walk but in reality I am hand in hand with contentment on my own doorstep....I wish the idea of Time would drain out of my cells and leave me quiet even on this shore.”
