Condition
This work is in good condition overall. There is evidence of light wear and handling along the edges including light discoloration along the edges and a faint crease in the middle of the lower edge. There is a slight undulation to the sheet. Under close inspection, faint accretions are present underneath the cake topper and a spot of accretion is visible near the right edge of the mat underneath the cake. There is glue residue visible around the gold appliqué, inherent to the artist’s working process. There is a spot of brown accretion near the tail of the left dove and one near the bottom gold appliqué. The sheet is hinged verso to the mat at the upper corners. Framed under Plexigas.
