Condition

This work is in very good condition overall. There is extremely minor evidence of handling along the edges. There is a slight undulation to the sheet, inherent to the artist’s working method. Under very close inspection, several minor and unobtrusive surface abrasions and pinpoint accretions are visible in the unpainted letters. Also under raking light, several inconsistencies and light abrasions to the surface between the letters, and most pronounced above the letter ‘L’ are visible. A spray-type fix seems to have been applied to the surface. The sheet is hinged verso to the mat intermittently along the top edge. Framed under Plexiglas.
In response to your inquiry, we are pleased to provide you with a general report of the condition of the property described above. Since we are not professional conservators or restorers, we urge you to consult with a restorer or conservator of your choice who will be better able to provide a detailed, professional report. “Art's about the glorification of something; though in my case, it's not necessarily the common object. It may be the power of the word or words that I'm glorifying."
