Colour: The colour in the printed catalogue is fairly accurate, although the catalogue illustration fails to convey the metallic quality of the aluminium. Condition: This work is in very good condition. Very close inspection reveals some minute specks of loss in isolated places to the extreme edges and extreme corner tips and two minute pinholes with tiny associated cracks to the black pigment to the upper most point. Inspection in raking light reveals some residue from the artist's adhesive in places to the black paint, as well as some unobtrusive signs of burnishing to the aluminium. There are two losses of aluminium, one towards the bottom of the lower corner tip and one towards the center of the composition. Further extremely close inspection reveals a fine layer of dust that is adhered to the surface of the composition in some places. There is no restoration apparent when examined under ultra-violet light.
