The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate.
This work is in very good condition. Very close inspection reveals some wear with associated rub marks and a few minute and unobtrusive specks of loss in places along the extreme outer edges. There are some minute specks of media accretion in isolated places across the composition and some tiny spots of discolouration to the varnish, which are inherent to the artist's choice of media. Extremely close inspection reveals three thin, superficial scratches to the lower centre of the composition, approximately 40cm. from the lower edge. Visible only when examined in raking light are a few faint, superficial and unobtrusive scratches in isolated places. No restoration is apparent when examined under ultraviolet light.
