Colour: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate although the overall tonality is brighter and more vibrant in the original. Condition: The work is in very good condition. There are some small nicks and losses to the extreme edges of the artist's frame, most notably to the upper two corner tips. Very close inspection reveals some very fine tension cracks to the extreme edges of the canvas, some of which have a few minute specks of associated loss. Close inspection reveals a pattern of drying craquelure with some tiny spots of associated loss, most notably to the royal blue pigment. No restoration is apparent under ultraviolet light.
