Condition
Colour: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the overall tonality is slightly deeper in the original. Please note that the work should be turned 180 degrees in the catalogue. Condition: The work is in very good condition. The sheet is attached verso the backing board in numerous places. The two vertical edges are deckled. There is some slight undulation to the sheet, which is a result of the artist's choice of medium. Very close inspection in raking light reveals a few short rub marks in isolated places in the yellow pigment and a tiny media accretion in the purple pigment to the upper centre of the right hand edge. Further close inspection reveals a few small water marks towards the top left hand corner, which appear to be original, and a very short tear to the bottom right hand corner tip. No restoration is apparent under ultra-violet light.
