Condition

Colour: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the overall tonality is slightly warmer in the original. Condition: This work is in very good condition. Extremely close inspection reveals some tiny spots of wear to the bottom two extreme corner tips and some extremely faint and fine tension cracks to the extreme overturn edges, which are only visible in very strong light. Further very close inspection reveals a tiny indent towards the lower right hand corner tip and a light handling mark to the centre right of the bottom edge.

“This past spring, and half the summer, the iPhone became my studio. I signed up for Instagram. I pushed things aside. I made room. It was easy. I ignored Tumblr, and Facebook had never interested me. But Instagram…” (Richard Prince cited in: Press Release, New York, Gagosian Gallery, New Portraits, June - August 2015, online).
