the pediment with a concealed compartment with a sliding lid above a hinged top opening to reveal a mirror and recess, above two doors, enclosing an architectural interior with four gilt-bronze statuettes, with a central drawer flanked by six small drawers, above a concealed long drawer, the whole inset with pietre-dure panels in geometric patterns

Condition

In overall reasonable restored condition. Lifting and some minor replacements to ivory stringing and ebony veneers. The catch to locking mechanism of hinged top and cupboard doors is detached and will need re-fixing. There is associated losses and damage localized to area where previously fixed. Leather lining to concealed compartment worn, consistent with age and use. Stand with further lifting and minor losses to veneers on the lower tier. Highly decorative piece. One key.
