in 17th century style, chased with a boar and stag hunt scene including the goddess Diana, the handle mounted with a lion with shield thumbpiece, the cover with Diana and hound finial, on four pierced ball feet
Condition
a few minor dings throughout, some areas with gilding rubbed, and finial with tip of bow dented; probably birds removed from alternating ribs around cover but neatly done, not obvious overall in good condition
