Condition

The board is stable. It has not been possible to see the work out of its frame. There are pinholes with associated flecks of pigment losses at all four corners and to the center of both right and left edges. There is a milky varnish preventing UV light from fully penetrating, however there appears to be no evidence of retouching visible under UV light. There are a few dots of paint losses, notably towards the centre of the upper edge and in the dark green pigment towards the center of the composition. There are some minor paper remnants in places, notably in the upper left quadrant, and a few small spots of stable craquellure in the background. There are a few minor scattered dots of superficial dirt and some frame rubbing with associated scuffs along the extreme edges. This work is in overall good condition and could benefit from a light clean.
