the larger plate bearing a portrait of a woman in traditional headdress, on a background of stylised motifs, signed in Cyrillic lower right N. Nazimow, and inscribed in Latin on the reverse St. Pétersbourg./1882./N. Nazimow. ; the smaller plate bearing a portrait of Leo Tolstoy, Kornilov Brothers Manufactory mark on the reverse

Condition

Overall in good condition. Smaller plate: no chips. Pierced on the base with a metallic cord for hanging. Minor scratches on the surface, consistent with age and handling. Larger plate: losses to the paint, especially on the borders. Minor traces of mold on the left of the figure. Scratches along the surface and on the base, consistent with age and handling.
