the cover of the folder adorned with repoussé copper elements representing a scene for a Russian folk tale and the imperial double headed eagle in the center, set with coloured stone cabochons, Russia, end of the 19th century ; the hinged glove box decorated with repoussé copper birds in Art Nouveau style, set with coloured stone cabochons, Russia, circa 1900
Condition
Folder: one of the pearls missing on the cover. Traces of wears on all the leather edges. Foxing on the paper on the inside. Glove box: overall in good condition. Scratches, dents and oxidation marks consistent with age and handling. Stones are intact. Scratches visible on the front. Inside glued with paper imitating snake skin ; scratches, losses to the paper, especially to the edges.
