Condition

The illustration of the catalogue is accurate. There are the inevitable dents, marks and scratches due to age and use. There are some old woodworm traces. There are some chips and losses to the carved elements, revealing the white gesso and the wood underneath. There are a few construction cracks to the frieze. There are two metal nails to reinforce the back left hand side foot, inside the seatrail. There is a restoration to the undertier. There are some minute refreshments to the painting. The marble top is in good overall condition, with minute surface scratches. Elegant console. Nice design.
