the inside of the backboard is inscribed Made by Thomas Palmer husband of Elizabeth Roberts from a cherry tree growing on the John Roberts Place Lower Merion, Pa; retains traces of a historic surface.

Condition

The interior prospect door has been removed and the holes where the hardware was mounted have been plugged, but the door appears to be original. Hardware replaced. Retains an early surface, but the long drawer has been refinished. Approximately 1" by 1" loss to the backside of the proper left back foot. Secondary wood: Pine
