The Budai is in overall very good condition. There are some typical original firing imperfections including glaze gaps, specks/pinholes and firing cracks in different places. His right hand is restored. There is also a chip to his left hand, also showing some restoration, and a small chip to the back of the figure near the base. There are some occasional losses to the enamels but overall these have been very well preserved.
