the arched crest rail comprised of five segments ending in outward scrolling hand grips, the back post flanking a curved central splat, the seat frame of mitre, mortise and tenon construction supported with humpback-shaped transverse stretchers underneath with pillar-shaped struts joining the legs below the seat frame, above oval stretchers with flattened undersides joining the side and back legs and a shaped footrest at the front atop an apron

Condition
The chair is in overall presentation stage. The back splat may be replaced, as well as the mitre stitched underneath the seat and the front spandrel beneath the foot rail. There are some stains and discolouration consistent with age.
