carved as a dragon-headed sea turtle of hollowed circular form, the beast riding on turbulent waves curling around the shell and extending to the base forming a whirlpool, the claws and tail of the turtle rising from the finely incised waves, the shell covered with geometric diaper patterns, the celadon stone with black, russet and white inclusions

There are some nicks to the stone, including a 1.2 cm chip to the head of the turtle, developed from natural veins. The upper right canine tooth is missing, and there is a 0.6 cm bruise to the upper teeth. Two pieces of about 0.3 cm each have been restuck to the lower teeth.
