Excellent condition overall. Part of the proper right foot is broken and missing. Minor marks, nicks, scratches, abrasions and small chips consistent with age and ritual handling.

Récompense décernée aux champions des cultures de chaque nouvelle génération d'initiés du Poro, la canne cérémonielle tefalipitya (ou daleu) est classiquement dominée par la représentation « d'une jeune femme non mariée, au sommet de sa beauté » (Féau in AFAA, Corps sculptés, corps parés, corps masqués, Chefs-d’œuvre de Côte d'Ivoire, 1989, p. 183). La grâce féminine, ici interprétée en courbes voluptueuses et en lignes élancées, s’affirme dans le modelé expressif du visage, ainsi que dans le soin apporté à la coiffure et au dessin des scarifications.
