Condition
The isorel panel is sound and there is a wooden stretcher support fixed to the verso. The surface is richly textured and well preserved. There are a few fine lines of stable craquelure in the background above the blue shapes. There is some minor old frame abrasion along the extreme edges notibly in the lower right and upper left corners. Examination under UV light reveals a glossy varnish which is difficult to read through, however there is some old retouching along the right edge and the upper right corner, to the centre of the upper edge and in places along the left and lower edge. There is some further retouching visible in the background towards the centre of the upper edge and to the body of the jug. This work is in overall good condition.
