Condition
The board is stable and is slightly undulating. Surface has irregularities inherent to the artistic process and is a bit dusty. Examination under UV light reveals a few dots of retouching in places, most predominately towards the left edge, along the upper edge and to the upper part of the right edge. There are some diagonal scratches (the longest of which is approx. 10 cm long) to the figure's forehead, mouth, neck and proper right eye, with associated retouching visible under UV light. There is some minor paint shrinkage, notably along the extreme edges and a few minor lines of craquelure, notably to the hat and above the figure's proper left eye. This work is in overall good condition.
