Condition

Overall very good condition. The chair presents a true rich black and is incredibly sleek and refined in design. The cast marble resin is in very good condition consistent with age and gentle use with some minute particulate inclusions inherent in the making and not visually detractive. The backrest with a very minor surface irregularity near the upper edge left of center measuring approximately 1/4 inch diameter, not visually detractive and only visible upon close inspection. The proper right front leg with a small vertical scuff measuring approximately 1/2 inch high located at approximately one-third height from the floor, not visually detractive. The lower edge of the proper left back leg with some minor scuffs, not visually detractive. The rear central stem with three abrasions below the central cluster each measuring about 1/4 inch wide. The extreme back edge where the runners meet with a small, thin white horizontal scuff measuring approximately 3/4 inch wide. An exceptional and deeply sculptural biomorphic design by Joris Laarman.
