carved in high relief with two hands grabbing a stag's head, one by the fragmentary horn, the other by the muzzle; no restorations.

acquired at the above sale by the present owner

Condition

Fragmentary and chipped as shown. Fastened to yellow marble base with two iron screws. Surface retains some of original polish but abraded and scratched overall.
