Condition

The patina appears to be genuine. Traces of red pigment are present in the engraved cross design on the front of the shield. please note the handle is missing with remnants of red pigment (possibly sealing wax) in and around the upper handle hole, and to a lesser extent at the bottom. Minor areas of scratching and pigment in small areas on reverse. The shield appears to be in good condition overall with no visible evidence of repair or restoration. Please note this lot is sold with custom made stand.
