The gilding appears original and presents with a soft golden hue as seen in the catalogue illustration. The gilding presents with some light wear and has aged and darkened slightly throughout with time. The base with occasional minor discolorations throughout and some scattered instances of accretion and surface soiling to the recessed portions of the design, only visible upon close inspection. The square post above the woman’s head with an extremely minor hairline crack on three sides of the post, which appears to be superficial and completely stable. The shade is possibly original and is in good condition with minor scattered discolorations throughout. The shade with some occasional extremely minor tears and subtle creasing throughout. The upper edge of the shade with some small tears, minor associated lifting, and small paper losses, not visually detractive.
