Condition
The canvas has not been lined and is securely attached to a keyed wooden stretcher. There are some minor lines of raised craquelure, mainly visible in the upper half of the composition - however, these appear to be stable. Inspection under ultra-violet light reveals an even layer of residual varnish and no visible sign of restoration. Although the signature seems to fluoresce under UV, this appears to be due to the artist's pigments. Overall, this work is in good condition and is ready to hang. Presented in a decorative gilt frame with a nameplate.
