The canvas has been lined and is securely attached to a keyed wooden stretcher.
There are two small spots of paint flaking in the floor in the lower right quadrant, also visible in the catalogue illustration, and some scattered lines of drying craquelure are visible, notably in the lower part of the right framing edge. Inspection under ultra-violet light reveals areas of old residual varnish and one small area of retouching, possibly addressing old restoration, in the background between the legs of the gilt table. One other minor spot of cosmetic retouching is also visible in the background in the upper right quadrant. Otherwise, this work is in good overall condition and is ready to hang.
