Gustave Duruflé (a gift from the artist. Duruflé (1834-1909), a friend of the artist, lived in the same neighbourhood as Moreau and was first introduced to him in 1870. He commissioned several replicas of Moreau's most famous works.)

Condition

The artist's sheet has been hinged along the upper edge on the reverse. Colours are strong and there is no sign of wear. This work appears to be in very good original condition and is ready to hang. Presented glazed and framed. Colours are somewhat less warm in reality than in the catalogue illustration.
