Condition
The panel is flat, even, and ensuring a stable support. There is a very fine pattern of hairline craquelure throughout. Inspection under ultra-violet light reveals scattered areas of green fluorescence in the sky which appear to be associated with retouching following previous cleaning. Other spots are also visible in the snow in the left of the lower framing edge. Some of the aforementioned retouching are also visible to the naked eye under raking light. Otherwise, this work presents well, is overall in good condition and is ready to hang. Presented in dark wooden frame. The blues are more intense and deeper in reality than in the catalogue illustration.
