The canvas has been strip-lined and is securely attached to a wooden stretcher. There is a fine patter of hairline craquelure throughout, notably in the sky. However, this not distracting to the naked eye. Inspection under ultra-violet light reveals some uneven fluorescence due to old residual varnish and some very finely applied lines of in-painting, notably in the landscape in the left hand side of the composition. There are no further visible signs of restoration. This work presents very well, is in good condition and is ready to hang. Presented in a decorative gilt frame.
