Overall, the condition of the marble is good, with some dirt and wear to the surface consistent with age. There is a restoration to the back of the bust, where the bust meets the socle. There is minor veining to the marble, consistent with the material, including a veing going horizontally across the nose. There are some minor scratches to the surface of the marble, including an area of scratches to the top of the head. There are a few scuff marks to the back of the bust at the hair and at the socle. There are remnants of an old label to the back above the signature and there is also a filled inclusion here. There are minor chips and abrasions to the edges of the truncation.
