Overall the condition of the terracotta is very good, with minor dirt and wear to the surface consistent with age. There is a slip to the surface which may conceal some condition points. There are a few small chips, including to the flowers at the bosom and the flowers on the bow. There is some possible retouching to the tip of the nose. There are a few chips and residues to the glaze of the blue tile. There is minor stable splitting and some surface dirt to the ebonised wood socle.
