Overall, the condition of the marble is very good, with minor dirt and some wear to the surface consistent with age. There is particular dirt to the chest and shoulders. There are a few scuff marks to the front of the bust close to the truncation. There are small chips to the edges of the truncation and at the back. There are a few very minor inclusions including to the back of the head and the edge at the back. The white marble socle is separate. There are some slightly dark inclusions to the socle, and some minor chips to the edges.
