Overall, the condition of the bronze is very good, with minor dirt and wear to the surface consistent with age. There is a possible small loss to the straps around the spear point. The spear is cast separately and is very slightly warped. There is minor rubbing to the patina, including to the high points of the helmet and of the horse's head. There is minor greening to the base surrounding the horse's proper right foot. The marble base is in good condition with some minor chips and abrasions to the edges and corners.
