Condition

This work is in very good condition. Very close inspection in raking light reveals some shallow surface scratches and rub marks to the resin, and some media accretions in isolated places. Further close inspection reveals a few small areas of light white paint to the lower horizontal and lower vertical edges underneath the resin, which fluoresces when examined under ultraviolet light.

"To me, a painting has to be done quickly to be able to show its process, to be clear, without tricks. I don’t like the mess of painting; it has to be done most of the time in one go – otherwise I get bored. Ironically, working out the process and figuring out all the preparations for a painting take longer than the actual act itself.” Bernard Frize
