the body boldly decorated to the front and back with a dragon wreathing a large lotus blossom against a dense foliate ground, the sides with a leafy flower, all supported on a pierced pedestal with four mythical beast feet, wood cover and stand (3)
Condition
The censer and pedestal have scattered frits and chips, particularly to the extremities and edges, and a loss to one corner of the pedestal. There are minor expected manufacturing imperfections, general expected surface wear, and encrustations to the interior of the censer.
Please note that this lot includes a stand, frame or other component made from a type of Chinese hardwood, which, if exported, will require a CITES permit to leave the United States.
