The pig pens: Sotheby's New York, acquired between 1970-1979.
The boar: Nagatani, Chicago, 1978.

The pig pens with expected wear, including frits and losses to the glaze and scattered shallow chips to the pottery. The pen without the tower has some restoration to the glaze at the walls and interior. In the pen with the tower, the front hooves of the standing pig have been secured to the pen with consolidant. The boar with traces of red pigment in the ears and mouth; a 1-cm chip to the shoulder; expected wear and surface degradation from burial.
