the curvilinear crestrail continuing to form square-section back posts, centered by a richly carved peach-form splat with ruyi heads, the arms with angular scroll struts, the hardwood seat over a shaped apron carved with ruyi heads in low relief, the legs terminating in angular scroll feet joined by stretchers

Condition

The armchair is in overall good condition. The joinery is a bit loose due to shrinkage and use. There are filled repairs and consolidation to splits and joinery. There is a small triangular chip where the arm rest continues down to the seat frame. One side stretcher apron is broken and taped on. There is general wear, small scratches and nicks consistent with age and use. Please note that this lot will require a CITES permit for export outside of the United States.
