of rectangular form, the paneled cover and chest joined by brass hinges and a circular lockplate with ruyi-form hasp, with bail handles set to either side, the interior lined in cedar wood

Condition
One back hinge is detached. The top and side panels with some splitting and scratches. There are scattered filled repairs to knots in the wood and splitting. There is a small circular patch to the base panel. The top panels are loose and separating from the sides at the front. The joinery is loose.The surface shows wear and small nicks to edges from age and use.Please note that this lot will require a CITES permit for export outside of the United States.
