of waisted, cylindrical form with a wide trumpet mouth tapering to a slightly bulging belly and a flared foot, the belly cast in low relief with two pairs of bosses and a flange forming two taotie masks reserved on a leiwen ground, the foot similarly cast but without the flanges, the base interior cast with a three-character inscription

Acquired in the early 20th century.

With multiple large breaks (all restored) to the neck and mouth, as illustrated in the catalog. The oxidation to the exterior mostly polished down for a smoother finish.
