Condition

The canvas is lined. Painting presents a beautiful image with the details in her dress well preserved, as some of the impasto remains. There is some craquelure throughout with some associated scattered paint loss, like for example at center left, at bottom of her dress, at bottom of her blue robe, and a few tiny dots of losses scattered on the right side. What appears to be a fill is on the right edge at center. Inspection under UV is impeded due to an old varnish, though there seems to be some scattered old spots of retouches on the lady's blue robe and the dark curtain at right. Painting is offered in an elaborately carved, gilded frame.
