There is a tiny nick near the crab's eye and to one claw, and nibbles to the tips of the claws.

台北故宮博物院藏一褐斑白玉雕蟹，尺寸稍大，斷代明朝，曾展於《故宮玉器選粹》，1973年，編號24。另一晚明至清初例，蟹持蜀黍，展於《中國玉雕》，香港藝術館，香港，1983年，編號190。
